Argentineans have welcomed selected films of Ammar Popular Film Festival being screened in Buenos Aires.

Argentines have welcomed selected films of Ammar Popular Film Festival being screened in Buenos Aires.

The screenings of the APFF movies started on Thursday while hundreds of Argentineans waited long in the hot weather of Buenos Aires to watch the films.

The Argentineans well received the movies so much that most of the Argentine media published reports on the events.

The Iranian and Argentinean institutions jointly arranged Iran Independent Film Week for February 23-25, 2017.

Among the selected movies are ‘The Golden Collars’ and ‘Orphanage of Iran’, both directed by renowned Iranian filmmaker Abolqasem Talebi.

The two movies, also produced by Talebi, are considered anti-British works.

The program also screened ‘The All Alone’ directed by Ehsan Abdipour. The film focuses on Iran’s peaceful nuclear program.

The Argentinean enthusiasts watched a number of short documentaries titled ‘The Gas Regulator’, ‘Bright Lights’, ‘Solomon and the Ant’, ‘The Love Market’ and ‘Iran is Great’ during the week.

The National Institute of Cinema and Audiovisual Arts (Spanish: Instituto Nacional de Cine y Artes Audiovisuales, INCAA; also referred to as the Argentine National Film Board) is an Argentine government film production company in Buenos Aires.

Established in 1968, the institute promotes the Argentine film industry by funding qualified Argentine film production companies.
